A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Forget Me Not Charity Walk in memory of our Founder Matthew Gibbard on Sunday, 6th of April.
Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to raise a total of £16,684 for Grief Encounter, a charity dedicated to helping children who are grieving the loss of loved ones.
The event was made even more special by the beautiful weather, with plenty of sunshine to keep everyone in high spirits.
Participants enjoyed sausage baps, refreshing drinks, and a sense of camaraderie as we walked together in memory of those we’ve lost.
Along the way, we had the chance to celebrate with raffle winners, and after the walk, many gathered at the Snooty Fox for drinks and a well-deserved lunch.
We are thrilled to share that the total donations from the walk amounted to £6,842, with an additional £1,500 from VMS.
Tingdene Group has generously agreed to match this, bringing the grand total raised to an incredible £16,684.
So, what does this all mean?
It means that these funds will directly support Grief Encounter, ensuring that the charity can continue providing vital services to children and families who are navigating the difficult journey of grief.
Your contributions will help fund support groups, therapy sessions, and educational programs that provide a safe space for grieving children to process their emotions and begin to heal.
Once again, thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and supported this cause.
Your generosity makes a real difference in the lives of so many children, and we are proud to have come together as a team to make this possible.
