As you are all aware, here at Tingdene we take data protection very seriously and strictly adhere to the regulations set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The company’s CFO is appointed as the Data Protection Champion. The champion has ultimate responsibility for data protection matters and particularly whether any concerns should be notified to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
We must ensure we have the right procedures in place to detect, report and investigate a personal data breach – for example if we lose personal data, or disclose data to the wrong recipient. The GDPR has brought in a breach notification responsibility for all organisations to report to the ICO. Not all breaches will have to be notified to the ICO – only where the individual is likely to suffer some form of damage, such as through identity theft or a confidentiality breach. If we do need to report, we have only 72 hours from the discovery of the breach to do so – it’s therefore vitally important that any suspected breaches are immediately reported.
With this in mind, we would encourage you to report any concerns, questions or comments regarding data protection on the form below.
